HAPPY, EMOTIONAL AND JOYFUL AMBIENCE
So much of love, emotions and glee spread across the ambience of Leela Palace as the family of Sivakumar were showering their wishes and greetings to the arrival of reigning queen of south industry Jyotika who makes her comeback with ’36 Vayadhinile’, a remake of blockbuster Malayalam movie ‘How Old Are You’.
The occasion was spangled with the most proficient and celebrated icons of Tamil cinema. Suriya played a different avatar as producer greeting and welcoming everyone on the dais.
Speaking on the occasion he said, “Whenever I used to meet my fans or come across them, they would relentlessly keep asking me something why am I keeping Jyotika away from films. We were actually waiting for the right opportunity and am happy that it has happened now.”
Jyotika on her part said, “36 Vayadhinile happens to be one of the best films in my career. I am so much blessed to have Suriya as my husband. He has been a great support in letting me proceed with my dreams and passion. I have been bestowed with best directors in my career. Vasanth sir especially endowed me with the basic elements of acting and he was someone who laid foundation to my acting career.”
Veteran actor Sivakumar uttered, “There is a famous saying Behind every successful man, there is a woman. But now it is redefined as ‘Behind every successful woman, there is a man indeed’.”
Suriya’s brother-actor Karthi who arrived straight from Coimbatore said, “I have been a great fan of Jyotika Anni. I have been so much curiously awaiting her comeback just like any other fans. I have been transfixed over the song ‘Raasathi’. This is a beautiful message to all woman in ever home. I would dedicate this song to my daughter and to everyone.”
Producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green said, “From the time of ‘Chandramukhi’ and ‘Mozhi’ we have been an ardent fan of Jyotika Anni and we are so much happy that she is back. After watching the original version ‘How old are you’, I felt guilty for restricting my wife from achieving her dreams. Before the marriage, we wanted her to be a homemaker and I feel bad for letting it happen.”
Director Bala – “I have come here not for the sake of Suriya, but as a diehard fan of Jyotika.”
Director Vasanth – “I am so happy that both Suriya and Jyotika introduced by me have achieved great heights. Suriya has made not alone his father Sivakumar proud, but me as well.’
Director Venkat Prabhu jocularly added, “It’s not an easy job for a husband to make his wife happy, but Suriya is really great for being a rare species.”
Director Pandiraj – “I am happy that I have been one among the reasons for making Jyotika madam comes back into showbiz.”
Director Radha Mohan – “We were all terribly disappointed during the audio launch of ‘Mozhi’ as Jyotika bid adieu to film industry and anxiously awaited her comeback, which has happened now.”
Almost everyone in the crew of ’36 Vayadhinile’ including Rahman, Abhirami, Delhi Ganesh and many others were present. TV Anchor DD played a perfect host with her jovial talk. The trailer was launched by Karthi and the making of ‘Rasathi’ along with the full track was screened for the special invitees.
